Someone prayed for rest!

Although it was a two steps back ward beginning of the day early this morning, it has been a good 1/2 step back up the other side of the new mountain again. As one sister said " it felt like the train / rollercoaster was out of control last night as Dad's breathing became so rapid and labored he could not talk. We had spent so much time away from his side yesterday, as they were doing procedures. But God is still the conductor of this train and today God has blessed us and I think Dad too with some much needed rest. His temperature is slowly going down again, his fluid levels are becoming more balanced again, and for most of the day we were able to be with him while he was sleeping and appeared to be resting. He was the most peaceful we have seen in the whole time in SICU. Yeah he is sedated and sleeping but he was not fighting the tubes and his forehead was not as furrowed as it had been when he was first intubated. Pray for continued healing for Dad. We know we are here for a while yet. But more importantly we know that God is here with us.
